Finding Peace: Embracing Christ in a Season of Liminality
ABOUT OUR RETREAT THEME
Have you ever felt stuck in a season of “in between”? If so, you’ve probably experienced a season of liminality.
Liminality refers to that period between one stage of life and another; the waiting between an end and a beginning. During a period of liminality, life can feel caught in one, giant pause. We feel frustrated at the lack of progress in our lives; we grow restless and seek a seemingly silent, or even absent, God.
But it is there, in the quiet, seemingly interminable pause that Christ prepares and forms us for the next chapter. Heavy in hardness and rich in potential, real growth happens during this transitional period, if we pause and look up. This fertile spiritual ground allows God to mold us into who He desires us to be.
Though our retreat was originally held on February 5 & 6, it’s not too late to experience Christ’s peace or participate in the retreat yourself. We’ve compiled the resources below to help you guide yourself through a two day retreat.

“LISTEN TO THE WORD”
retreat activity for Saturday, February 5 - Afternoon
Find some quiet, solitary time this afternoon to listen to this passage from Ecclesiastes 3, read aloud for you by Cameron Bellm.
Seek to listen with the ear of your heart; try repeating the passage a few times.
How is the Holy Spirit speaking to you? What message is God trying to share with you?
After you listen to the recording or read it for yourself, feel free to journal around the Scripture in your retreat packet or have a candid conversation with our Lord.
However, it looks for you, soak in His Word.
