Our Story

Though we live across the country, God brought us together for a specific purpose.

We believe that purpose is to serve him through Live Today Well.

IMG_8397.JPG

In September of 2017, two stay at home mamas, Kara and Mary, discovered each other on Instagram. Whether you call it divine intercession or providential timing, both women had felt God pressing on their hearts the need to work together. They decided to collaborate by creating free booklets for both the Twelve Days of Christmas (called Dwell) and the Easter Octave (called Behold).

After witnessing the beauty that was born of sharing their faith and uniting their talents, Mary and Kara prayerfully discerned that God was calling them to nurture a ministry in which all women could be encouraged to rest in the Lord by reorienting their hearts towards Him daily.

If there is anything that they know to be true about this humble ministry, it is this...the Live Today Well Collective belongs to God. Since launching in 2018, the Live Today Well Collective has blossomed into a beautiful, vibrant team of women through the abundant grace of God.

KARA BECKER

CO-FOUNDER OF LIVE TODAY WELL

Kara, one of the co-founders of Live Today Well, graduated from Belmont Abbey College with degrees in Elementary Education and Theology. Currently, she lives in the great land of the pines, where she drinks copious amounts of sweet tea and indulges in too much southern comfort food.

Though she comes from a background of parish based ministry and teaching, her most treasured roles are that of wife to her husband Michael and mother to her two kids.

Kara is passionate about living out each day with prayerful intention and stripping away the excess in order to focus on what matters most. You can find her musings at karabecker__.

Mary Williams

CO-FOUNDER OF LIVE TODAY WELL

Mary Williams is one of the co-founders behind Live Today Well and the artist behind Creating to Love. Her educational experiences at Notre Dame and Boston College deeply formed her spirituality. She firmly believes the act of creating has the power to transform the human heart.

Before becoming a stay-at-home mom to her two beautiful children, she worked in Catholic college and high school campus ministry. While she misses the spontaneity of working in student life, she loves the sound of happy little feet running around her.

Mary is happiest when her little family is cuddled up all together, when she has a paintbrush in her hand, and when she’s sipping her homemade cold brew with a little too much creamer. She currently calls Southern California her home.
